Apple MacBook Specialist Solved the Issue

When customer called, it was not very clear what and why it stopped working. Customer did not dropped any liquid or damaged while travelling so it was something technically going wrong with the logic board. We collected it with our free laptop pickup service and delivered to our lab for Apple expert to look at it. Since it was quite latest 2019 MacBook Air with touch bar, it was not as same as the previous MacBooks. This MacBook logic board is quite compact and keyboard and touch bar connected directly to the logic board. Initial reaction from our apple technician made us believe probably required a new logic board but after spending some time and going through some apple supplied logic board diagram, apple expert managed to narrowed down the problem. it was such a relief that the whole logic board wasn’t required to be replaced. It was a cable, works as a bridge between keyboard and trackpad damaged due to moisture which burned the coil.

So the next step was to let the customer know, take the consent and go ahead to fix it issue. Customer thought of buying new MacBook, but got very delighted to know the broken macbook air can be fixed so no need to spend over a £1,500 to buy a new one. We got the confirmation of going further to fix it. As we always say, it always takes time to diagnose the fault but fixing it doesn’t take a long time. Customer really wanted to get it fixed in emergency as all work depends on it. Our Apple expert did manage to fix it on the same day, ran few tests and Hurray! it was fixed. Trackpad and MacBook keyboard started to work without any problem. 

Next Morning around 9am, we rang customer to gave the good news and promised to have it delivered back before 3pm. We do not charge anything for same day laptop delivery. We arrange our courier to collect it from our lab and make sure to deliver it on promised time. Around 1PM received a confirmation from our courier that it has been dispatched and around in next 10 minutes received a call from customer explaining how good the service was and MacBook is back and functioning normally.
