HP Pavilion 14-ce1511sa Broken Screen and Hinges Replaced

HP Pavilion is one of the most famous brands sold in the UK market. HP has launched different series and models, but HP omen and spectre x360 has been top of all. Hewlett Packard has been known for its excellent internal laptop engineering and durability. Recently we received a call from a customer based near Twickenham TW1 have got screen broken. This laptop was being used working from home; therefore, the customer wanted to have it fixed as soon as possible.

We managed to send our courier to have it collected in a couple of hours to bring it into our lab to replace the broken screen and probably return it on the same day evening. Our HP laptop expert technician realised the hinges broken after having it delivered to our lab, which possibly has knocked out the screen. To make sure and understand how did it break, our team rang the customer. We were told the hinges got damaged during the lockdown, and the customer had nowhere to go. This morning when hinges didn’t move, the customer used hand force to tried to make the hinges straight and managed to break the screen (shown in the picture below). Our team also checked the laptop screen, which turned out to be HP Full HD screen which usually is readily available in our lab. We explained it is crucial to have the hinges fixed, or else it’s going to keep damaging the laptop screen to pay a significant amount to have it fixed. The customer agreed, and we still promised to have it returned the same day.

Geeks Callout’s HP Laptop Repair Specialist Solved the Issue

Finally, after having a go-ahead, HP laptop repair expert removed the broken screen, plastic bezel and broken hinges. Once we get any laptop in our laptop, we follow the basic rule of internal cleaning means we open the back of the laptop, clean the fan, motherboard and install new thermal pasting; it’s called internal hardware tune-up. Once the cleaning part was done, the laptop geek managed to replace the hinges to ensure the laptop lid is moving nice and smooth. The final and important step was to install the brand new screen carefully, so it fits in probably and adjusts within the frame.

Due to broken hinges, the bottom case was also damaged and a hole where hinges supposed to screws. It was expensive to source the bottom cover, so our geek decided to glue it properly to make sure it doesn’t come off again. This job was mainly technical because of the broken bottom right side hinge; otherwise, the laptop screen’s replacement is kind of standard work for us.

So, once the hinges got completely fixed now to move on to installation of brand new HP screen with Full HD display. It didn’t take long but the slightly tricky part was, hinges did manage to damage the video cable. Since we had it in stock, video data cable replaced and installed new HP screen. Our HP expert turned it on to make sure everything is working correctly, made a little video and send it to customer via whatsapp to make them feel comfortable and satisfied.

All Done – ready to go, delivered back to customer by 8pm same day and indeed we got another happy customer in our list.
