The MacBook Air is one of the lightest and most portable laptops designed by Apple. Many people choose this model for its sleek design and convenience when travelling. However, when carrying it in a rucksack or using it while enjoying tea or coffee, accidents can happen, and before you realise it, liquid can spill across the keyboard. It’s never a pleasant experience, and the thought of losing the device completely can be very stressful.
This exact situation happened to one of our customers based near the SE1 London area. After water was spilled over the keyboard and the MacBook was left to dry for a few hours, the customer attempted to turn it on, which should never be done. This can cause further damage that may become irreversible.
The customer contacted an Apple repair centre, where Apple advised that the logic board, keyboard, and trackpad would need replacing, at a cost close to buying a brand-new MacBook Air.
