Today people use screenshots for several purposes like sharing any information, conversations, memes, or proofs that allow people to receive an exact copy of the content that shows on the screen of the sender. So, this particular technology has enabled people to swap screenshots, helping each other with many issues regarding work or just enjoying the entertaining content exchange.
Taking screenshot from your smartphone is one thing but did you know that you can take screenshots from your HP laptop as well. It’s literally the best thing to opt for when you want to send the image of your laptop screen to someone, saving you from the hassle of taking a picture separately from your cell phone camera.
Not only it saves you time but you can also care less about your dusty and dirty screen from being exposed to anyone. So, that’s a plus. A clean and clear image of your screen will be captured as you take the screenshot and send it to your boss, colleague, employee or friend. But, how do you screenshot HP laptop screen?
This article will share methods by which you can take a screenshot on your HP laptop pretty conveniently. Let’s get to it!
If you are a Windows user, then use the snipping tool which comes pre-installed in the system. This tool is wonderful, allowing you to capture not only the full screen but take snips of any portion of the screen. You may type “snipping tool” in the windows search bar and open the app. It’ll let you select the desired area with a cursor and open the screenshot in the app with a bunch of editing tools. You may edit the screenshot as you like and save the snap. You may also use the shortcut for the app: Windows button + Shift key + S key.
This method is quick if you only want a full-screen capture. You press Windows key and PrtScn or the prt sc button together to take a screenshot. The image gets screenshotted right after you press the buttons. The image should be saved automatically in the Pictures > Screenshots folder.
However, if there’s no such folder and you can’t find the image, then open “Paint” and press Ctrl + V, your image will show up. You may then either edit it using the tools or save it as it is. Using the paste option, you may also paste the screenshot directly in Google docs, PowerPoint or Microsoft word.
This shortcut is another method of taking full-screen images. Once you thumb the Windows + W key together, you’ll see a pop-up window on which you may click on the “Fullscreen snip” option to get the wanted image. You can then use an editor to edit the snap.
We mentioned above the top 3 common and easy methods that allow you to capture a screenshot on your HP laptop. However, if you’re a gamer who loves live streaming or taking screenshots of your progress or best moments in the game, then this method is for you. Press Windows/start key + G key at the same time to open a pop-up window. In that window, click on “Capture” and then tap on the camera icon to screenshot the screen.
