Folks usually reduce pdf size in Mac to create more space in storage. For smaller files, it might be insignificant to do so but for larger files, it isn’t a bad idea. However, there are many other things you can try first before compressing pdfs like deleting old Time Machine backups, deep cleaning the storage, clearing the Trash, saving large files on iCloud, and using an external USB drive to keep sizable data.

After your file gets exported to the chosen folder, you can right-click on it and select “Get info” to see the new size after compression.

2- Use Online PDF compressors:
