Laptop overheating is one of the common issue but it can happen due to many reasons. Sometimes it could happen due to its age, rough usage or dust around. Geeks Callout London’s Dell Laptop Specialist Solved the Issue

We received a request from customer based near Notting Hill, London to repair this Dell laptop with noisy fan. After consulting with our Dell Laptop expert we arrange a collection of laptop over the weekend. Since its a work laptop, customer wanted to have it back on Monday so he can carry on working on it. So we just had almost 2 days to actually, diagnose and repair it. 

Sometimes, it’s very common to find other problems along with the actual issue in the laptop. So, it was very much possible that fan noise may have been the only issue but other issues might have been connected with it like overheating or motherboard components which sends the signal to Fan when to run faster or smoother.

After having it delivered by midday Friday in our Lab. Our laptop repair expert quickly ran diagnostic and find out the fan was completely dead (showing in the video). It was important to find out why did it die. Having Laptop fan not spinning is harmful for other parts of the components. These fans are installed to throw the hot air out from the computer and keep the inside temperature at certain level. So it got established the Fan definitely has to be replaced. After running other checks it came out that the thermal pasting on the motherboard processor was also dried which required re-pasting. 

Fully Tested and Ready to Go

Thanks to our Dell laptop repair experts who spent couple of hours and repair noisy laptop fan problem. The old fan was damaged internally, the motor inside which makes fan running stopped responding. This issue is very common in HP and Dell Laptops. Our laptop repair engineer did managed to replace it with the new fan. While testing it turns out that fan although not making noise but still running fast almost when system is in no use. We always use a software called Realtemp to check the CPU temperature and got the warning its overheating and new thermal pasting required. It important to always run a check for at least 4 to 6 hours after repairing laptop to rule out any issue related to what has been repaired or something else. Finally, after running through all the test and installation of new thermal paste, Dell laptop started working normally again and temperature came to normal between 30 to 45. Once its was fully tested and ready to go, we did manage to deliver it back to customer on Friday evening.
