Corsair One i300 review

Corsair One i300 comes with incredible specs and an ultra-compact design. Most people would love it for what it offers, but the heavy price tag might stop many from getting this model. In the UK, the starting price is £3,499, which goes as high as £4,799 when you choose a different configuration.

With the high-end specs like RTX 3080 Ti, and Core i9, you get a robust machine that never betrays, even when playing AAA games at the highest settings. But, if you’re strictly going to use this PC for gaming, you might want to check out other brands like Alienware that have a bit lower price compared to this model.

Design:

The space-saving design of the Corsair i300 plays a huge role in its overall cost. The way this company has managed to incorporate high-end specs in a close-packed machine with a liquid cooling system is an appreciable feat, especially when you compare it to other pre-built gaming PCs that are heavy and take a lot of space.

You can fit this model anywhere on the desktop with ease. There are multiple USB Type-A and Type-C ports with thunderbolts and an HDMI port. The petite and close-packed PC design makes it challenging to get upgrades. However, it’s not impossible, and you can break into the machine. Though with the specs it offers, it’s unlikely that you will want any upgrades. Also, you get different options for each configuration, so you can select what you need from the beginning.

Performance:

With the Core i9 and RTX 3080 Ti, you can expect excellent performance at 1080p and 4K. For instance, in Far Cry 6, the fps rate peaked at 143 at 1080p and 82 at 4k. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the fps rate came out at 122 at 1080p and 70 at 4k. So, you are unlikely to get below 60 fps with Corsair One i300 in any intense games.

Also, the creatives can use it as their workstation full-time. Whether it’s heavy video editing, VFX, or photoshop, the illustrators and graphic designers can take full advantage of its high-end configurations without thermal throttling. The YouTubers can also make high-quality videos and watch video playbacks at 8k.

The Bottom Line:

The bottom line is that it’s a powerhouse for gamers and creative workers. However, it’s highly expensive, and some people would find it unaffordable. But if you’re somebody who can afford it, and would play at 4k, then it’s an excellent choice for you. Also, you can use this gaming PC to do other office tasks. So, from that perspective, this PC would be a good investment that would stay with for a long time.
