AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is an excellent processor dedicated to gaming. The 3D V-cache technology is introduced for the first time by AMD in Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which helps in loading cache quickly while gaming. This allows the gaming experience to get faster and smoother.

When it comes to its competitors like Intel core i9-12900K, it gives some serious competition to the market’s best processor chip. However, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D isn’t an all-rounder. You can only expect it to perform its best in the domain of gaming. In other uses, it won’t prove to be as effective as other AMD processors, like the Ryzen 9 5900X.

The Ryzen 9 5900X is more expensive than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. However, it will better support other PC uses like video editing, etc. But, if you want to stick to gaming strictly and are on a budget, then go for Ryzen 7 5800X3D without a doubt.

Price:

Ryzen 5800X3D price is pretty affordable if you compare the cost with its counterparts. You can get it for $449 in the U.S, translating to £360 in the UK, and €419 in Europe. This price is good for those who already have an AM4 motherboard. You won’t have to buy new parts for this processor. It’ll fit on the AM4 slot easily.

Those who want to custom-build their gaming PC and have a high budget could look at Ryzen 9 and Intel Core i9.

Features:

Ryzen 7 5800X3D introduces 3D V-cache tech in its chip that boosts your gaming experience and performance. Overall, this feature doesn’t impact the rest of your PC activities, but it is much-needed leverage in gaming. It helps in loading scenes quicker, providing a faster FPS rate.

Upgrading to this processor would be a breeze because it is compatible with most AM4 motherboards. So, you can switch your old chip with the new one without making any major changes to your device. Your PC’s cooling system and other settings will be compatible. However, you’d have to update the BIOS.

Performance:

The results are inconsistent due to the change in settings when it comes to performance. At 4k, Ryzen 7 5800X3D got pretty low results. For instance, in Time sky CPU Test, it got 11476 while intel core i9 got 27372. Ryzen 9 chips also scored higher than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor.

At 1080p settings, Ryzen 7, 5800X3D slayed all its alternatives. It topped the charts in every test, even leaving behind the core i9. For instance, in Hitman 3, its results were 412, while Core i9 came out at 373.

These benchmarks show that the 5800X3D is a good deal for the price, but it’s not the best chip out there.

The Bottom line:

Ryzen 5800X3D is a pretty good option if you’re on a budget. It performs well as per its price value and gives a pretty good experience in gaming. Especially at low settings, the fps rate will be higher than any other chip. However, this processor is only good for gaming and won’t provide many advantages in other domains.
